Job Overview and Requirements

The Medical Center Representative – Call Team (Remote) offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16 to $18, and robust benefits.

This role is strictly remote, allowing flexibility, but requires candidates to complete on-site training and occasionally attend in-person meetings or resolve technical issues.

The position provides health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with paid time off and retirement plan eligibility, adding plenty of value for ambitious job seekers.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, though experience in medical offices, remote roles, or with Athena software is highly valued.

Applicants must be comfortable working independently, meeting compliance standards, and managing confidential patient information in a secure home environment.

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day

Your primary task is managing high volumes of incoming calls, ensuring efficient patient service and accurate call routing.

You’ll perform detailed chart reviews, schedule appointments, communicate with patients, and actively contribute to keeping provider schedules full.

In this position, it’s essential to stay vigilant about appointment types, insurance acceptance, and documentation—accuracy and empathy are both vital for success.

Other duties include making relevant notes from patient interactions, reviewing and discussing patient balances, and cooperating with senior scheduling staff as necessary.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, so you’ll have weekends and holidays to yourself, barring occasional exceptions for training or meetings.

Main Pros of the Role

One standout benefit is the generous package: insurance starts right away, and paid time off accrues from your first day, making this a secure and rewarding position.

This job sets you on a steady, weekday-only schedule, supporting a healthy work-life balance that many in healthcare long for.

Cons to Consider

While training eventually allows full remote work, the initial three months are fully onsite and there may be unscheduled in-person days if issues arise.

This role demands a steady hand under pressure, attention to technical requirements, and absolute commitment to compliance and privacy.

Verdict: Is This Remote Call Team Job Right for You?

If you have the right background and thrive in organized, patient-facing roles, you’ll appreciate both the compensation and benefits. The learning curve is manageable and you’ll gain valuable experience with a fast-paced, reputable medical group. Carefully weigh the in-person training commitment and compliance expectations against the long-term flexibility and employment stability this job offers.
