Daily Responsibilities and Job Details
The Administrative and Office Specialist handles various essential office duties including managing fiscal audit, recordkeeping, and supporting HR onboarding and offboarding.
Daily activities also involve maintaining office equipment, scheduling events, and coordinating team meetings and travel for training or activities as needed.
The job requires facilitating internal and external contracts, supporting communication, and serving as the safety coordinator for the department.
Collaboration with both the director and assistant director is expected to improve operational efficiency and provide mentorship to newly hired staff.
Technical proficiency with proprietary Virginia Tech systems is required within six months of starting, ensuring seamless integration into the role.
